I am passionate about the education of our children, not only academically but also socially and emotionally. For many years I have actively been involved with helping families to overcome the challenges they face in today’s ever changing society. I trained with Bradford Council as a Mental Health Champion for Children and Young People and have a BA Honours Degree in Social Psychology and Child Development. I have lived in Clayton for over 40 years and am an active member of St Anthony’s Church, the Parish and the wider local community.

As a former pupil, I was delighted to be asked to join the Governing Body as a Foundation Governor in 2011. My two children have benefited from the excellent education and care at St. Anthony’s and I am committed to supporting and developing Catholic Education which, I believe, gives our children the opportunity to flourish in an environment centered around Christ and his teachings..
Fr Simon Winn- Foundation Governor
I have the experience of working as a priest chaplain to a High School in Leeds for two years. The Bishop has appointed me three times as Foundation Governor to Primary Schools. The first was for four years at a school in Castleford, the second for seven years at a school in Barnoldswick. I was appointed to St Anthony's School in September 2017 along with becoming Parish Priest. I have found being a Foundation Governor a rewarding experience and look forward to the years to come in my present appointment.
Hilary Collier - Foundation Governor
I’ve been involved with St. Anthony’s school since 1995, when my eldest daughter started reception, I’m a regular member at St. Anthony’s church, over the years I’ve been involved with running toddler groups in the church hall, and I’m always involved with the Christmas/ summer fairs.
I was a childminder for many years, and was involved with lots of children attending St Anthony’s school, and my many interests in education is the foundation stage, as young children start their journey into education.
Andrew McVeigh - Foundation Governor
A Roman Catholic, who attends regular Mass at St Anthony of Padua Parish, Clayton, with my family. I work as an Estate Planning Consultant. I founded a Charitable Foundation in Ukraine in 2009, in partnership with the Ukrainian Catholic Church, facilitating a family type orphanage for abandoned and orphaned children in Western Ukraine, and still actively involved with the Charity.
Frances Ayrton - Parent Governor
I have one daughter in the school and have been proud to be part of the St Anthony's family since she began at the school. I enjoy taking an active part in the school and church life. I was delighted to be asked to represent the parents of the school as parent governor in 2022. I am committed to helping the school achieve the best for all children in both their learning and wellbeing. I have been a teacher for ten years and currently teach year 3 in another primary school.
Jonathan Kendall- Staff Governor
I am Deputy Headteacher and staff governor and have been so for many years. I came to St. Anthony's school in September of 1993 as a year 2 class teacher responsible for Key Stage 1 SATs. Since then I have taught in year 4, 5 and 6 as class teacher, and have supported the teaching in year 3. This is a wonderful school to work in, with fabulous colleagues, who all care so deeply about the pupils. It is my role on the Governing body to address the concerns of the staff who work in school and to feedback decisions taken at meetings.
